The downturn in the economy is forcing most companies to take a hard look at their compensation and incentive programs to find ways to cut costs. For
many employees, reductions in bonuses and merit pay increases are in the works, according to a Towers Perrin survey of HR executives.
Companies are looking beyond Inauguration Day on January 20 for clues about what role employers will have if health care reform is enacted
under an Obama administration. But at this point there seem to be as many questions as there are answers.
When it comes to HR outsourcing, large companies typically wrestle with how much they should do on their own before turning over their processes and
systems to the vendor. There are two main schools of thought. Both were assessed in a Towers Perrin Webcast on the current state of HR outsourcing effectiveness.
