Jenny Lai is a consultant with Towers Perrin in Hong Kong. She has worked with both U.S. and Asian P/C insurers on reserve analysis for primary and reinsurance business, and rate-making for personal lines. She has also worked on M&As and captive insurer issues. Ms. Lai is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Hussain Ahmad is a senior associate with the Tillinghast business of Towers Perrin in Hong Kong. He has worked with companies in Asia as well as the U.S. and has experience in a number of areas, including general insurance valuations, life insurance valuations, takaful and financial services regulation. Mr. Ahmad holds a B.S.B.A. in Actuarial Science from Drake University and is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Ming Li is a vice president with Towers Perrin in Philadelphia. He specializes in catastrophe models and is an expert in international and commercial portfolio analyses. Dr. Li has a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Rice University.

Imelda Y. Powers is a principal of Towers Perrin in Philadelphia. She leads the firm’s catastrophe modeling team and develops catastrophe risk management solutions for primary insurers and reinsurers. Dr. Powers has a B.A. in mathematics from Oberlin College and a Ph.D. in operations research from Yale University.

Peter Wright is a principal with Towers Perrin in London. He chairs the Tillinghast business of Towers Perrin’s worldwide working party, which is tracking progress of the IASB’s insurance project. He specializes in financial reporting and statutory regulation work. Mr. Wright serves as an Ordinary Member of the Council of the Institute of Actuaries.

An attorney by background, he earned a B.A. degree from Duke University and a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law. He is also a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program.
