Douglas J. Collins is a Principal of Towers Perrin in Bermuda. He has extensive expertise in loss reserving and leads the initiative to expand the firm's capabilities in stochastic reserving. He specializes in loss reserve analyses for reinsurers and assists companies in the securitization of property catastrophe risk. Mr. Downs is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

He was a pioneer in ERM concepts, and has developed alternative risk transfer and risk securitization products bridging the insurance and capital markets. Mr. Shimpi is a Fellow and Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst of the Society of Actuaries and a CFA charterholder.
