Employee Engagement
Improving engagement to improve results
Organizations that fail to engage their people fail to achieve their full performance potential. Towers Perrin research has shown that engaged employees reduce costs, work harder (and smarter) and create more satisfied customers. But unless an organization can define and measure "engagement", it cannot possibly improve it — let alone know whether efforts to improve it are actually working.
We were pioneers in measuring and improving employee engagement, helping organizations move beyond simply measuring employee opinions and satisfaction. Our model — based on years of experience working with some of the world’s largest employers — confirms the link between engagement and business performance, and gives you and your management team a detailed view of what influences engagement across all of your workforce segments.
The result? The ability to identify which "levers" to pull across different locations, business units or job functions to increase engagement and drive stronger business performance.
Our work helps you do the following
- Identify the unique factors that drive engagement across your workforce.
- Gain the context for understanding how your quantitative results compare with others in your industry globally or within your own country.
- Determine the actions to build specific engagement drivers into your culture and employee programs.
- Improve your ability to attract, retain and engage critical talent.
- Encourage and sustain behaviors that help your employees deliver superior performance.
Our offerings include
- Broad-Based Engagement Studies and Programs: Quantify levels of engagement across your organization and determine trouble spots for interventions.
- Targeted Engagement Studies and Programs: Focus on developing programs that improve engagement and retention of critical talent.

From Engagement Insights to Business Impact
Engagement may be a popular buzzword, but it’s become one for the simple reason that engagement delivers a measurable financial benefit. In one Towers Perrin study, we examined engagement data from over 360,000 employees at 40 companies, and found a clear relationship between levels of employee engagement and key company financial metrics. As shown, those companies with high employee engagement had significantly better results in both operating margin and net profit margin over a three-year period than the companies with low employee engagement.
We work collaboratively with our clients to help assess and understand their engagement issues, design the right research to explore those issues, apply
advanced data
analysis techniques and technology
to derive meaningful insights, and then help develop and implement effective action plans to drive results — higher productivity, better customer relationships, stronger
financials or sustained business growth.
The bottom line? We help drive the engagement levels that in turn help power your bottom line.
